He Sees You...4-22-25
He Sees You...4-22-25

Have you ever heard a remark about someone seeing something that is "right in front of your nose"? Well, rabbits can't see what is right in front of their nose. Maybe we can't either! Rabbits literally have a blind spot right in front of their nose. We don't, but often our inability to recognize or understand something that is so easily seen by others is due to our vision, just like a rabbit's. You see, a rabbit has a small blind spot at the end of its nose due to the placement of its eyes. You get where I'm going now. When our eyes are not on the One, we have blind spots. We can't see clearly. He still sees us. He still recognizes our needs, wants, desires, and hears our prayers. But we can't focus clearly on Him because of our blind spot.

Hebrews 12:2 says, "Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith." Proverbs 4:25 states, "Let your eyes look directly forward, and your gaze be straight before you." As humans, when we don't see something, we have a hard time believing its authenticity. We can't see the work in our lives, so God must be silent. We can't see the plan, so we wonder what that plan is. We can't see our circumstances changing, He must not care about us. I've heard all these things and many, many more comments like these from those who don't know Jesus. I've heard them from Christians who do. I have said a few things like this myself in the past.

Our understanding of Christ tells us that He loves us and He will always see us. But when we are knee deep in the valley, it is harder to see His hands in everything. His word and prayer are the keys to enveloping ourselves in the knowledge that “His eye is on the sparrow and I know He watches me.”
